I hope this isn't true. The Apple store is too crowded and smells like smelly armpits enough already.

For $65 (eBay) Mobile Me is still worth it. It's the 'Find my iPhone' and keychain synching that I can't do without. Everything else has a free alternative out there but this is all under one roof which I like. I am over having accounts in 15 places to do the same thing just so I can save $6 a month?

Speaking of keychain and Mobile Me, cool story; I had visited a friend a year ago and used their WiFi. Since then he moved, I got a new laptop. I go to his new house last week and the laptop instantly joined his network. Mobile Me had stored the WPA key and everything and then pushed that down to my new laptop. "It just works" indeed. Can't get that somewhere else.
"and the iPhone can no longer be dismissed as a toy to BlackBerry's business device."

I've been trying the student upgrade all day, no joy.

From Apple;s battery page:

"Battery Lifespan
For Apple notebooks with removable batteries — such as previous generation MacBook and MacBook Pro computers — a properly maintained battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 300 full charge and discharge cycles.

The built-in battery of the MacBook Air is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at up to 750 full charge and discharge cycles.

The built-in battery in the new 13-, 15-, and 17-inch MacBook Pro is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at up to 1000 full charge and discharge cycles."

Is there any PM software that doesn't cost an arm & leg? I just need something simple - one step above a spreadsheet type simple.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
