@Robert, you sir don't live in the mountains. A huge hunk of rock in the way of the signal is gonna defeat the best directional rig and Chad has an excellent point.
the take away is "What Ed Colligan has in his favor — what ultimately redeemed him — what his recognition that he didn’t know what to do next. This is a very tough thing for anyone to have to admit — and I applaud Ed Colligan for having the bravery to admit such a thing. It takes real guts to do that."
Actually I suspect that Apple is worried enough about their EULA being invalidaded to use ADR to make it easier to pay them off and seal the result, which would be impossible to do in an open trial
Assuming you want a working smartphone and not eye candy, go with the Treo800w or the upcoming 850. Lot more bang for the buck than an iphone. A lot of the 3g phone out there look good but between the battery life and the slowness doom them for any real world work, Palm is getting back into the game with WM and actually gives me some hope for Nova if they can get it out the door. Apple's cluster F*&! with activation, buggy apps and Mobile Me has given Palm some breathing space. Bottom line, any phone with a removable battery is always going to have better battery life than the iphone or any other phone with a non-removable battery.
@Frankie, I do not work for Palm and have talked to several people who have 800ws and are pleased with the speed and all around quality of the phone. If I did not have such a deep abiding dislike of WM (and a GSM carrier), I would be tempted
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
