There's a bug. If your phone's volume is set low, you won't hear the signal. Apple should have it ignore the volume setting.
Engadget needs to update their story to include the supported languages. It's all right in the technical specs. It makes Engadget look kinda stupid and lazy. And we know that's not true! :-P
This would make sense for use in the car where you don't want to take your eyes off the road IF they'd included controls on the iPod itself instead of the headphones only. Now it's ONLY useful with their headphones. Grrr. I hope that third parties will be able to develop a remote and jack pass-thru to allow third party headphones and car audio use. What would be cool is integration onto the steering wheel.

It doesn't actually talk. If you watch the video, they say that the voices for PC and Mac are different for each system. That would indicate that part of the sync process is to create little audio clips announcing the song and artist on the computer. Cool idea. Hope they put that on the other iPods/iPhone.
ATA? WTF? Apple's laptops use SATA these days. The firewire port doesn't make a lot of sense since they have eliminated it on the MacBook. It's also peculiar to have two video outputs on a low-end consumer product. Stranger is that there is one video symbol for two ports. Odd. The USB ports on the current Mini are not individually labeled, but they all look alike. The two video ports on this mystery product are not the same, so they should have individual labels. 2 GHz seems slow. The current model tops out at 2 GHz. Why wouldn't they bump it. The current model has 2 or 4 MB L2 Cache. 3 seems wrong. Although I guess the low end MBP has 3.

To the person who said they think there should be a mag save connector, I agree if you mean an output that would allow you to connect their mag safe powered monitor. But I wouldn't want magsafe to power the computer itself. Laptops have batteries. If you accidentally knock out the magsafe, the battery takes over. A Mini won't have a battery so you'd end up shutting off the computer As it is, the power connector on the Mini is not strong enough. It's already too easy to dislodge accidentally, like when you have to move the computer slightly to insert a USB port.

What I'd like to see is a front mount USB or two. And I'd like to see the ports on the back spaced out. At least one so I could plug in a thumb drive. It's a challenge on the current mini because the ports are so close.
Scrubs switched from NBC to ABC and they made the switch to HD. NBC didn't own Scrubs, so they probably didn't feel like investing the money even when the show was on their net.
Sling it my way!
It still is vaporware until they release it. Sling never does anything on-time.
It would have been nice if you could set it to use integrated graphics when it's on battery. Perhaps they could have had the user put the laptop to sleep, pull the cord, and then wake it to change the rez.
All those poor people "forced" to use Windows. *SIGH*
The problem is bigger than that. Using the emergency button, I can dial any number. So someone who steals or finds your phone can hit the emergency call button and then dial any number they want. This sucks. What the hell were they thinking? What I WOULD like is a button that shows up on the lock screen that says OWNER INFO so that if someone finds my phone they can email me, or phone another number. BUT ONLY THAT.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
