Wow these are the first microsoft ads I didnt throw up at. The little cute child probably helps... you know when a company sucks ass when it has to resort to child labour...
All I know is, I would hate to work for Apples App store team, 75000 apps? Thats alot of fine tooth combs. Sure, Apple could say "have fun jail breaking your iPhones" but what difference would that make?

I love how people feed the media, despite their inconsistencies and their super secret knowledge of what I people really want...
Sigh its all true.

I live in Auckland, New Zealand. 2 Million people live in this city, and apparently its not enough demand for unlimited internet. (there is literally no unlimited internet plan - they phased those out as soon as people abused it for torrents).

The main problem for telecommunications companies here in New Zealand is competition. There is none. Vodafone (until telecom's recent XT network) has had no competition in the 3g service, meaning they can charge extremely huge prices on communication, shift their profits to Australia and Co to improve THEIR networks and so on. Hopefully, as more and more companies get on the competition, step up their game, prices will drop and things can get a move on.
Who cares which came first? And I think when having a product argument, its important to remember it's not just hardware that makes great devices really great - right? I would imagine the iPhone is still a much better product, and definitely more worth the coin - which in this case seems to be alot less coin.

In terms of the rape - I come from an international scene. Apple doesn't make anyone rape anyone, at least internationally. In Singapore where I lived, the iPhone plan is very worth while, many other countries as well. In New Zealand, it is indeed costly to use 3g on the iPhone, however its expensive regardless of which phone you own, or which company is making the service provider "rape" you. Is it also expensive to use other 3g phones in the US? Or can you only use the iPhone on an iPhone plan or something?
this looks, ugly. I dont know how anyone finds this sexy. I always get the feeling IBM's look a tad retro with such distasteful colours, perhaps its what people like?

Oh. And doesnt this look exactly the same as every other IBM? side the little shiny thing at the top left? Excuse my ignorance I am pitch forking the hay right now...
I dont normally post things, Im bored of ridiculous arguments; it seems no matter which forum I go to there is a bunch of people arguing over which operating system they would like in bed, cough, I mean like to use.

However, something that grabs me is this whole "who started it thing". - Who the hell cares.

I am a mac user, I love them, I dont think I will ever buy a PC no matter what specs, because the apple OS just seems to work alot better for me - That said, this Dell release looks fantastic. Side the awkward speakers this looks like an interesting venture for dell, as my school is Dell based, and conventionally the computers are ugly.

On the support side, Dell provides excellent support. However I would prefer to have a machine that survives long enough to not need support (I realize thats pretty much impossible but oh well, we can try).

I wonder if I can call the world to shut up about fanboy stuff. Its sad. This comment board, and A BILLION OTHERS LIKE IT, are NOT directed towards pitiful arguments about company's, rather the product in question - which in this case is rather sexy.

Didn't your mummy ever tell you "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it"?
likewise, its sold in DIY stores singapore-wide. I thought it was ridiculous, cheaper to buy an 8 plug board and buy a cheap adapter. Seems more gimmicky than anything.

A recently released program called iconiCal. Quite nice. It has the ability to change your icon and stuff, and even display it as a different colour (the blue goes nice in the dock). - and its free.

Hopefully leopard will see fixes to these obviously small yet equally annoying problems in tiger - hopefully.
Indeed, god forbid I happened to be eating fried chicken and touch my white apple keyboard? At least a screen can be protected and cleaned more easily. I would love a multitouch macbook. From my point of view, all single touch devices I have used and owned, just didn't do it for me. Multitouch does, as good old jobes says, provide a more logical and intuative display. I say hold out on the negatives about these things, indeed about the iphone aswell, untill they are released and you try them yourself. :-)

Multitouch all the way!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
