@JZ, wasn't the Snow Leopard upgrade a service pack that cost about the same? Funny how when Apple does it, it's okay.
Single-core Atom struggles with fullscreen Flash. The dual-core Atom can handle it.
Who the hell uses rmvb aside from badly encoded chinese movies? Seriously, if this is stopping you from getting one then import some badly translated nettop from China.
What, no beatmaniaIIDX comparison? :-P
Probably with the FN key since there's no special characters bound to X/C/V.
oh boy this makes me a happy vzw customer. been holding onto my env2 for too long, i needs an upgrade to something smarter :)
The older Predator models have been recalled twice now due to case design. I seriously hope Acer has those problems fixed by now.
The original Glyde was a piece of junk. My girlfriend had one and had to get it replaced like 3 times. First the screen started flickering when being used. Then the internal mic stopped working so she would talk but it wouldn't transmit, and then the screen itself stopped responding to touch.

After the third replacement she got sick of the phone as a whole and bought a Palm Centro. What a difference that made.
Acer bought them out, they're the European version of Gateway.
"If the new owners will screw around with the site, nobody will keep using it. That's the biggest insurance one can have that the site will be run in the way that we all want to. And - you can now not only share files but shares with people. Everybody can indeed be the owner of The Pirate Bay now. That's awesome and will take the heat of us."

Yeah, but TPB is one of the only public torrent trackers left (save Demonoid) that has a multitude of torrents with its own actual tracker. If they go down, or start removing content, the amount of originally tracked content will go with it. Sites like Mininova, ISOhunt, NewTorrents, etc, only index trackers like TPB. They don't actually track the content.

Seeing TPB disappear would mean about 80% of public torrents not working anymore. I forget where I saw that number (probably Torrentfreak) but I wouldn't doubt it at all.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
