I think the problem with the way people have beein looking at the new iPhone is they forget it is not just a phone.... The thing is you're also getting an ipod (which people are willing to pay 2-3 hundred for, as well as its pda like features (and those phones people also pay handsomely for). People see the $500 price tag and thing about the free featureless phones and start to complain that apple wants to rip people off for their products, but they forget what they are getting is a lot more than just a shitty plastic phone...

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
