This is a fabulous product, the Zune HD. Already got one. Would love another. One for my audio files, one for my video files.
The good news is that Zune software cannot possibly be any worse than it already is.

Oh, wait, it's a Microsoft product isn't it.

Dammit.
No such issues west of Philadelphia on a Treo 755p.
I see a promotional opportunity for Shaquille O'Neil, a/k/a the original Shaq.
Any info on capacity for this thing?
For the same $79 you can by a 4gb or even an 8gb Sansa Clip, with an OLED display, and it's just about the same size. Then you can use anybody's headphones.

Got all the earphones I need, but my daughter really needs these. She's using those Apple supplied earbuds and we know what they sound like.

Thanks!

Hey, Sid, have you seen Larry? I sent him to put the SIM card in there and he's lost somewhere inside.
But the punchline, as is seen over on Boy Genius Report, is that RIM is sponsoring U2's tour, not Apple, and, more importantly, not Palm.

Looks like Bono's hedging his bets.

I have a 2gb, 4gb, and now an 8gb of these and they are by far my favorite MP3 players (I have a Sony NWS-706F and multiple ipods).

I take about an hour long walk every day and the screen is bright enough to read outdoors (actually, the 8gb has newer firmware and a brighter screen than the earlier versions), without the device adding any bulk at all. Very easy to sync, very easy to operate, even with gloves on.

Only thing I wish is that it played AAC's. Otherwise, it's perfect.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
