What is wrong with "making a statement" being a main motivation for buying a Prius? Statements can be very positive.

Case in point: when my friend's super-hot, fashionable, and very smart wife surprisingly started driving her Prius here in otherwise conservative Orange County, so did six of her hot friends (including my wife). That may not have been the case if we were talking about a "non-statement" vehicle.

I don't even know how many others she may have influenced in the year she's had it (did I mention she's HOT?), but I do know I'll be buying a Hybrid as well when the lease on my A6 expires. If she can bother to lessen her carbon footprint, then so can I.

I think she made a fine statement.

I agree.

Using personal broadband shouldn't be any more difficult or costly - - that is, eventually. But you'll have to wait of course.

Those who feel the need to jump in early pay the tuition for the rest of us who can wait.
Trying to find out whether this will be WiMAXable, or is that still too far off?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
