Some hacker team should post the images on multiple random servers worldwide, like a virus. Could never be suppression then..
moreover the downsizing drops the whole MOTO Windows Mobile team, leaving an Android team.. Is this a biiger blow to MOTO or to WinMO?
lejup: Moto is the American Car of the mobile industry. The problem is not solely R&D but marketing decision making. MOTO just lost touch with what peole want. Both looked and functioned like crap.
How Kafka-esque we could not read tech and specifically mobility news for 3 days with the new filtration, a.k.a . our business , while not blocking access to all sorts of unsavory material in Google Groups..

Tethering when at work, requiring all sorts of intranet data access is cumbersome. back and forth, network to network , all to get the job done.. at least this one small particular has been remedied, though I am sure that the preferred method for getting work related news is from some internal predigested website run by sum techsan LOL
I'd make my 2008 order TODAY for the D.[here in the US of Afraid of Diesels]
IT HAS SHIPPED [1:02p] FedEX from FT WORTH, TX to ME. Shipping INFO says it will arrive 5/3..

still not on the CING website, but mine is coming :)
I'm sure it is meaningless but as I check the order status @ 6am it was backordered, but now @ 9am no longer is this indicated. Both phone & SIM are still 'In Progress'.

& No listing of the phone on the CING site.
NokiaUSA only sells what carriers allow, either -forcing a contract, or IF ALLOWED, in rare cases an unlocked phone. NokiaUSA is not some independent vendor, in fact the NokiaUSA site acts just like so many other vendors who only 'sell phones' with contracts, essentially getting the head hunter's commission.

NO this is not NOKIA's fault. It's strictly AT&T wireless / Cingular.

Call CS? on Sunday over an upgrade? Laughable. With a 'clean slate' one could order online on Sunday, but anything ordered from Friday[even early], onward will only ship Monday anyway.
3rd email from CING online cs[5:58a] , same as 2nd: N75 is backordered, & a note denotng it a special order saying call [no phone# on mail]!

BTW - N76 doesn't have US Broad Band so won't 'replace' the N75 in a CING line-up
I ordered as well. I received an order confirmation[9:10a est] and then a follow up email[1:56p est]. I went online to check the status of my order and it says the phone is backordered! [although my SIM was available -lol]

I then called cs, receiving the usual "nonformation". There was a claim that I seemed to have gotten one, that would wait until Monday[at least] to ship, but I have my doubts. Perhaps all will be held up until the rumored May 1 release..
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
