From my decades in the commercial banking industry: Fitch, S&P, Moody's, et. al. have a miserable track record of analyzing anything other than the past. They typically do not have industry experts examine the data, they leverage overpriced MBA students as analysts. As such any "insight" they have is confined to conventional wisdom. How hard is to say that things don't look good at this point? I can pull 100 people off the street in Detroit and ask them if they either GM, Chrysler, or Ford will survive and most would say the same thing, "I'm not sure." This is exactly what Fitch is saying -- only with a detailed stack of powerpoints, excel spread sheets and expensive prose. They bring zero value to the table...

The irony of this post is that the photos were taken in front of Birmingham Chrysler in Troy Michigan -- one of the dealers cut in the downsizing. So this arrives too late to save them! Nice looking vehicle, hope is shows up soon.
According to CNBD, Jobs is in the house, along with Google CEO Eric Schmidt (who in August resigned from Apple's Board).
How is this different than a person taking out an insurance policy on someone else then killing them to collect? Near as I can tell it is illegal under that scenario, Oh yes, I forgot that credit default swaps only "looked" like insurance...

Nothing about security of site - privacy policy is pretty clean and they disclose you'll be shown targeted ads, not a real problem. But I'd really like to understand the security of their network.

"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
