U-Verse is the best system I have ever had. I have it on my 50" plasma in my bedroom and my 50" in my living room and it works beautifully especially when I can watch any of my recorded programs in any of my rooms.

I can program the service through my iPhone already (it's a FAST web page).. and it's immediate and I combined the service with 18Mbs download and 2 Mbs upload Internet service, destroying what I had with Time Warner Cable!)

Definitely worth getting when it comes to your area.

I had Time Warner Cable previously and DirecTV before that.
I would give the phone to this girl as she would be so impressed I might actually get some action! And I am being truly serious.. as I know her :-)

And when they stop supporting XP next year... time to upgrade!
The R8 is the most amazing car to drive.. my buddy has the ONLY privately owned R8 in the world and I've driven it and it is AMAZINGLY fun to drive. We raced it and his Ferrari F430 one day and the R8 was actually more fun to drive, as the 4-wheel drive allows you to accelerate in the curves more so than the F430.

PLUS in person, the car gets more attention than any car I've ever seen.. and that attention usually comes from women.. it's the weirdest thing... WOMEN LOVE the R8!
Pyro,
The definition of a monopoly means that there is no competition. If XM and Sirius merged and it created a monopoly, that would mean that they could jack up prices to $100 a month and people would be forced to pay it because there would be no alternative.. but they wouldn't be able to jack up the price to $100/mo because people would then abandon satellite and listen to only free radio.

So there is absolute competition, thus NO MONOPOLY. What the radio stations fear is that people are switching to satellite radio in droves and free radio is losing advertising dollars. All you had to do it listen to Howard Stern on regular FM before he left to see what a TRUE monopoly was... there were over 20 minutes of COMMERCIALS EVERY HOUR.. and you were forced to listen to them because the radio stations would collude and make sure that they play the commercials at the same time... so changing channels wouldn't get you away from the commercials.

Now that satellite radio exists with commercial free music, the traditional radio stations are having to cut down on the amount of commercials they play in order to compete. The result is less money for them, and thus they are upset. They want Satellite radio to FAIL so that they can go back to 20 minutes of commercials per hour.
Eamon, a well designed operating system allows you to operate without touching the screen.. which is why the Blackberries are so much better than other PDA's.

Why on earth would you want to have to use 2 hands to operate a device and you can use one with the trackball, etc.

I don't have a touchscreen computer, and I would hate it if I had to touch my computer screen when I wanted to do things.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
