Contrast that with the situation here in Australia where Carp are such a pest it is generally illegal to return them to the water.

When fishing in certain NSW lakes I catch 6-10 Carp for each trout. And the Eastern Europeans fishing nearby are more than happy to take them off my hands (and will ocassionally swap trout for them).

Considering computer products and accesories are always more expensive in Oz (sometimes ridiculously so) the US price should be much lower than the $US980 price I mentioned.
Dell Australia website lists this at $AU1599.40 ($US1230) which is valid until today. Ther latest hard copy brochure lists it at $AU1274 delivered ($US980).
