could somebody please report here whether it worked with other shoes? I am dead-certain, it will if you attach it to the shoe (say in the laces - I agree with the pedometer with transmitter theory, but as with all theories, the proof is in the pudding...). Never mind what the website says - just attach it to a shoe and give it a try, somebody, please?

I would like to come back to some of the post here - will this work w/o NIKE shoes? I am convinced it will (velcro and all). So could Engadget test that option? Say, running back to the office after defending their RAZR phones in Harlem?

'tis a shame, that we'll never get our hands on anything like this over here. why oh why is the US the developing world of mobile communication? i'll never get that.

now, if only they would actually do something on the software side to brighten things up. please, please, motorola, hire somebody who actually can do some user-interface programming. do u ever actually read those reviews?

does this work well with a Mac? I am still suspicious of Windows for Mobile... and is this not coming to the US for sure?

Agreed with all the other posts above - the real issue is - what's gonna be Apple's future smallest offering for the new Apple MacBook Pro's?
