i've been talking about doing this w/ some of my friends ever since ambilight came out... can i claim prior art and sue? *lmao* j/k.. seriously.. i just am lazy and unproductive, and they are busy finishing their school work to have their engineering degree... ahh well... atleast its out, innovation is more important than who does it :)
the apple II was multiple pieces.. so i would not consider that an all in one any more than my old ibm 8086..

specifically the Heath Z-89.. wow their add even looks vaguely familiar.... hmm :)

i'm not saying apple's bad.. but i'm also not saying that they've suceeded at coming up w/ anything particulrarly origional either. but then.. few people in tech have, and you never hear about them cause a bigger company re-packaged and marketted the hell outta their own, pushing the other into obscurity.
Okay.. thank you Adam (btw if anyone wants a link here:

)

but aside from that... i'm gonna be a bit of a smartass for a second.

OMG someone traveled into the future and stold the design of the iPod and since they couldnt replicate it they made a radio instead...

seriously.. wtf. Almost every cellphone i've owned in the last 6+ years had a wheel-like button interface for accessing the menu... Laptops have had touchpad's for years, which were used to effectively utilize the "start menu" on the windows boxes.. oh my...

and no.. i'm not a microsoft apologist, i dont care for them, but get over yourselves, apple is not origional, its just shiny.
i'll take two pls.
Richard john.... point taken *bows and steps back*
Since they previously used the processor in the naming.. and have for a while.. i'm gonna go with something like:

PowerMac CD
PowerMac Core
PowerMac C-Duo

just cause i can
am i allowed to laugh if creative wins? or will i get pelted w/ the ipods i so fervently avoid?

(to be quite honest I don't carry any music device, because none really meet my needs yet. I was an early adopter w/ a sony NW-7, and enjoyed it, just not the limited capacity)
i wonder if the handwriting recognition is that bad.. my htc wizard (c8125) is amazingly good at it. admittedly really poor handwriting is rarely properly translated but still... so i wonder how well this one actually does, and if it fails, why is is hw rec such a hard thing for sony to get a handle on?
umm.. i might actually have to get one of these... depending on the price, of course
just a few more years....
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
