I'm not sure it's "too much fuss." We should be concerned, but I think there is a great fear of the unknown here. We're not sure what exactly is going to happen. That's frightening to people. I think we're in for a lot of changes, but we're not going to wake up one morning and find that the world is about to end. We also have to keep in mind that our technology is advancing at an exponential rate. It is nearly impossible to predict the kind of technological responses we may have to this problem in the next 100 years. It has only been in the last decade that we've really begun to work on this problem. Just seeing the types of advances in renewable energy technologies is enough to keep my optimistic in the face of daily "global warming is worse than we thought" news.
Would this help EDGE or the Verizon thingy as well?

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
