... you do realize that for a portable system power consumption and heat are two of the more important specs... right? With an Atom you may not have the speediest computer, but with a celeron you aren't either (in fact, you probably wouldn't notice much of a difference in normal use). The longer lasting battery life is pretty key... after that who wants their thighs on fire?

Surprising... Apple trying to instill interest in reading to children. Maybe their parents will turn around and buy a mac Book...? Clever play on words... but until i see it on shelves, im not counting on a tablet or ebook reader any time soon.

You may as well have just told me the technology behind the new handheld radios that you can drop from 10 stories up, half way down becomes a whale that contemplates its own existence that then evolves into a flower pot that sighs "not again", and eventually lands on its feet like a cat. No, his question was right the first time... how long would it take to charge the standard lithium ion battery pack that a marine carry's? Which i guess would be however many watt-hours the battery is, divided by 8? I'm going to assume that the military has some very nice (probably fairly heavy) high-watt-hour'd batterys... so the answer would be quite a while.

But they've also got very low-energy-consuming devices to charge, which means they can charge things quickly.

Also... while it's a fairly valuable logo... the apple itself with a bite taken out of it is definitely not worth billions.

A couple hundred thousands to a few millions maybe... but not billions...

Either way though, still worth protecting.
