The N82 has had User Data Preservation since last year. Not a new feature.
NYC has them available. Many people at howardforums.com have purchased them today.
I will probably use most of it for Christmas presents.
Onkyo makes some great HTIB. I pickup one up for my parents for under $150. Check out their refurb store @ shoponkyo for some killer deals.

I really want to get an iPhone 3G and everytime i convince my self to ditch the Nokia N82 a post like this makes me hate the iphone again. $600 is way to much. If i do want to get the iPhone I will do the ETF method to get it "cheaper" and hope my current Media Bundle will work. Though by the time that happens someone else will have laready figured all this out.
I would use this to out nerd the other guys in the IT Department.
The SSD is expensive, but not crazy. A 64gb drive from NewEgg is about $1400 which is the approximate premium the SSD version the MacBookAir carries.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
