Nick,
The comment about UK strikers was a joke! Think for God's sake:) The other comment was my real issue and you passed over that w/o comment.
A scifi show about deep space and what do they concentrate on? Earth based relaationships.... I don't want As the World Turns or whatever I want SciFi. Face it these guys won't gte back for years IF the show is a success so the Earth based realtionships will dwindle. Concentrate on the ship relationships please...
Yeah this will work...NOT!
Plane lands and parks and shuts down engine. And WAITS for the next available taxibot...And the runway area becomes a huge parking lot. DELAYS Folks. Then in the UK the drivers will all go on strike....
Planes awaitng taxibots to take them to runways will sit WAITING and WAITING.

A big airport might need 50 or so of these machines with landings every 30 seconds andf takeoffs.
I just saw a BMW X6 and gosh that "car" is SO UGLY so I imagine this Honda can't be far behind.
Seems like only yesterday that Fry/Brawn were prublically whipping Button for having the temerity to take a tour of McLaren and downplaying his driving abilities. Then we find that Brawn and Dieter Zetsche were meeeting with Michael Schumacher in Abu Dhabi to thrash out a deal while the latter was on paid assignment for Ferrari that race weekend.
And wasn't it Haug/Zetsche who told the media that Mercedes were letting Brawn/Fry hire the drivers (as the Mercedes buy out hasn't closed yet) and that anyway a German lineup of drivers wasn't a Mercedes meed....
How soon ones words come back to bite one;)

It will be interesting to see how Schumacher and Brawn can work together again. One wonders how long Fry will hold is position though, with Haug in the background waiting to move in.
The "government" in all forms should stay out of promoting any religion and specifically a specific religion. This country was founded giving complete religious freedom and the Gvt was always separated because of the persecution so many founding fathers suffered in Europe (inc UK). Put your own sticker/banner on your car by all means though:)
Why do we take it for granted the way many of the visiting aliens find humans "attractive"?

The sleeper cells of lizards must surely have been placed on earth for a purpose known to the most recent alien visitors. So why no contact between them? Or are the prior visitors from another political group?
Here's a question:

Which of these 2 cars would you rather drive?

A) 2010 Buick LaCrosse with its best engine it cannot break 7 seconds in a 0-60 mph run.
or
B) A 2009 Pontiac G8 GT which goes 0-60 in around 5.2 seconds.

Note: MPG is similar for both cars.
I am so upset.
I told the wife I wanted a Cayman for my birthday and she bought me a Porsche Cayman! Nuts! I wanted a Crocs. How could she get so confused?
Considering the physical size of this units casing it's a surprise to me that the screen isn't somewhat bigger. This would then have made it also a very usable ebook reader.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
