lol, "dreaking" = dreaming, stupid laptop keyboard
you guys are so smart! you think that "Once cheaper blu-ray players get out there, Sony will have to depend on GAMES for a change. That's when it will get challenging for them" like AJ said in the 2nd post! I wonder, how did the original XBOX do when compared to PS2? Who had more titles? I say HAD because XBOX is dead, and I loved that thing - the 360 is simply an upgrade, the PS3 is a revolution....

keep thinking Sony will have a hard time repeating history, Blu-ray won this time which is more then they could say in previous format wars, so you must be dreaking if you've got your head up your @$$ like the Microsoft's spokesman calling it "an anomaly." This isn't the Matrix, you're going down just like the Toshiba-branded format you supported.......
yoyo, you are too funny.... so basically you're saying that since nearly every other civilized region in the world has GSM operating in full swing amd the US is lacking in GSM potential, we should "give up" on GSM technology development? that's like giving up on competing with the Japanese in auto manufacturing because they grew superior - tell Ford and Chevy to close up shop and see what kind of response you get.... moron....
i love it how you Verizon jerks are always TRYING to bash AT&T, but where else but North America can you find such ignorant companies as those still using CDMA??? why don't we go back to the stone age and fire up the analog signals once again! oooh, EVDO, fast, still worse signal projection compared with GSM - you know, the system the REST of the world uses! Europe and Asia laugh at you all harder than i do though....
ohh, forgot to mention the removeable battery and memory card you'll never see on an iPhone - 8GB internal on that junk, you say? enjoy it for music and pictures, i'll enjoy my card for spreadsheets and PDFs like a real smartphone user would!
you iPhone suckers are hilarious.... yeah, it looks butt-ugly to YOU, but surprise! its a Windows platform and to the small fraction of Americans that actually ENJOY using CRApple products (what's that, the same amount of people who are left-handed?), its always going to look ugly to you! too bad those of us who will enjoy this phone will be laughing all the while with any 3rd party app we want since its an OPEN phone, enjoy waiting for all the garbage apps to arrive for those sorry oversized credit cards you wasted mommy and daddy's money on....
brad_suessmith thinks "Apple made a mistake by pre-announcing the iPhone a bit too early"

wow.... its a shame you slept through Marketing 101! they have highest demand of any electronic device this year (despite the fact its not worth it), and you think they made a mistake? yeah, creating hype isn't important....

as far as this HTC, i think i'll keep my pre-order status active with my i-Mate Ulimate line and choose which one i want when they become available!
why is it Verizon never gets cool phones first? why is it Verizon never gets ANY GOOD PHONES? what world do you live in, the rest of us live in a world where Verizon's antiquated technology is only comparable to Cingular / AT&T because of the amount of towers they have.... the rest of us (read: entire world) uses GSM, time to get with the program!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
