These franchises are not in Fla. but the commercials are damn funny..however, all those 3rd worlders in CA. probably view the commercials as gospel..do jihadist muslims eat beef?..or just angus?..or pig angus?
This is basically mfgd by HTC/Audiovox 6700, same everything...and when hooked to VZ 3g network, works really well for about everything, MS os..Iphone probably does music as added feature but the above setup is about as good as it gets for making money & tethering, when needed...
Home Depot: when it first came to SW Fla...fair products, fair prices..seasoned help..competent operation..clean stores..NOW, all the opposite, mostly crummy products, at inflated prices,..mostly have junky products that somehow have GE tatoo emblazoned..never has specific products in high demand, plumbing elbows & copper..list goes on & on..always drive 2 extra miles to Lowes when got to have a product to satisfy customer..store looks like Little Havanna..
I want it too but in SW Fla....we're considered "rural" and we just wont have a supporting network..VZ is mine (3G and pretty good) and the best by specifications and the fon is HTC 6700..is still the best operationally & deal..I'll be looking to consider switching as support & carrier is here. ATT/Cingular Edge is too f***** slow....so I am where I am...
I'm no VZ fan, just a customer..if your device is not connected to a decent network, you are suffering through alot grief..the best of everything is still the Audiovox/HTC 6700 with Windows Mobile 5.0..and you can tether it to about anything using the internet available codes..Naples, Fl.
I love MS but this thing looks like a Dumont radio from the 50s...use to set on my great grandmas ice box...I do mean ice box...Love my Pocket MS 5.0 & soon 6.0...got my whole life & biz linked...got a great job too, "Sir, would you like a shopping cart today?"
In SW Fla...if you don't have a carrier, vz or sprint...you're not going to have the Ifon worth a darn...Cingular/ATT has nothing going with regard to carrier technology...gotta stick with HTC 6700 until further notice...
Alltel seemed to mostly quit capitalizing infra-structure 2 yrs ago when they started putting it on the auction block...they are so far behind in what biz wants, ev-do, connectivity, networking....may be fine for farmers in Podunk, IA..but last choice for most anyone needing timely technological communications.
GE has cut HD's subs,e.g., Hughes Supply' inventory to almost nothing; hence, contractors go elsewhere for many bulk items, exception might be pipe, wire, misc. specialty items..sort of what GE has done at HD stores...nothing like they were 10 yrs ago..mostly worse for contractor types, ...homeowners have some products at high prices available but the choice in specific categories is much reduced...stuck, stay stuck...rich on paper in Naples, Fl
The new VZ fon looks like it could be productive...tho I have to work in "rural" SW Fla. so we've only had minimal ev-do for months...its the best thing going so far and the top spec fon is the HTC 6700 with Sprint or VZ network...VZ is such a P***** having tried to knock out tethering in hopes of locking up their aircard....but they're sales are slow..good news is tethering is possible via internet bloggers whom got the codes & start up routine...thanks, tech nuts..me too
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
