X3F is teh awesome
Yeah baby! Engadget is teh awesome!
"We're going to start with an iPhone focus..."

What?!?! The iPhone is currently 0.000002 percent of the market. Not to mention totally unavailable outside of the states.

The media driven hype just doesn't stop.

Joystiq... you guys are teh awesome!

Thanks for the roundup!

HotShotX is on point here. Just because Sony may do it doesn't make it an acceptable business practice. And last time I checked Sony only had 2 SKUs out at any concurrent time. And all signs point to them eventually releasing one, perhaps in different colors.
If this is a limited run not so bad, especially if they keep up the practice and give us something more than the usual Halo themed swag.
IMHO Microsoft messed up when they didn't put a $10-20 wholesale priced hard drive in EVERY console. This will bite them toward the 2nd half of this generation when harddrive caching techniques will come of age, if by nothing else, Sony's insistence to superiorly differentiate themselves.
That said, I find a huge overpriced harddrive unnecessary as I wont stock up on media content that can only be played on ONE device (and I'll take the savings), seriously, who's stuffing they're drives with TV shows.
HaHa hahahahahhahahahahaha

Funny.

Did u hear the one about good games on the Wii...
I suspect Jabbar is right here.
"...high quality video signal..." has to mean Component, HDMI or S-Video at the VERY least. All of which sound like a port too big for a regular PSP not to mention a thinner, lighter one.
Unless they have some USB magic up there sleeves I hope Sony isn't asking me for $698 to get PSP on my TV.
@ Rubang, thanks for making me chuckle at my desk.

@ Travis, sorry my use of the word "Hardcore" got your panties in a bunch.

I just want some decent colors, you know like Nintendo always did starting 11 YEARS AGO. I wouldn't mind the pastel Easterish colors if there where more coming down the pipeline. Hmmm, I dunno, maybe green (it IS an Xbox after all), royal blue, red, shit, I'd take yellow or orange at this point. Release them in limited runs if they have to.
I'm just a little peeved that it's either White/Black or these two horrid looking colors. Maybe I'll bye my little sister one, o wait she has a Wii.

@ Waves - I hear you man, every once in awhile i pick up a real gem on the PS2, a void the original Xbox or the new new Hi-Def systems haven't filled.
Who won? Gamers.
What market are they catering to? Don't forget the hardcore online gamers that put you guys on the map Microsoft. And, no, i don't want more Halo themed stuff.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
