I think there's an additional nugget of information in this screenshot that you overlooked.

**Motion** = Maybe a multi-axis rate gyro??

With an accelerometer and rate gyro, you could get pretty much one-to-one motion control capability --- the same capability that Wii MotionPlus adds to the Wiimote.

Could be cool.
Well, they were both fairly mild-to-moderate deals, but somehow I ended up with 50" Samsung 1080p plasma and a Harmony 550 for $59. :-)
We have a winner. Move along...
That's brave.

I don't know what the general consensus is on Office 08, but I've never been more disappointed in a software package, ever. I can't be alone --- Microsoft is going to have fun with this "Q&A" session, depending on how honest they allow it to be.

My complaints are that Office 08 is very buggy, terribly slow (often slower than Office 04 in Rosetta!), and -- despite my hopes -- has a UI that's actually worse than 04, and falls far short of 2007 on the PC.

IMO, the Office 2007 UI on PC is magical and awesome. I can't understand why Mac BU didn't take this opportunity to further unify the Mac & PC versions of Office with the same UI... I'd have loved to have a Mac-native clone of Office 07. Instead, they gave us a clunky, slow Cocoa/Intel version of Office 04 with a UI that's gone backwards in usability (Excel plotting anyone?).

Ah well, thank goodness for VMWare Fusion w/ Unity. :-)
Basic/expanded cable only... I'm quite satisfied for now with getting my 5 local channels in HD for free via Clear QAM.
Oh boy. This could be really great.

How on earth has there never been an Ender's Game game?
I don't find myself wanting a double-pane view, as the n-line preview function serves just as well.

However, as someone with 6 eMail accounts, I desperately need a 'unified' inbox. That, or at least some way to reduce the **6 TAPS** that are required to go from an eMail in one Inbox to another eMail in a different account's Inbox.
1) Wow. After two years of reading TUAW, I finally noticed and came to understand the logo. There's a "T", a "U",an "A", and a "W" in there. Interesting.

2) I can't get copying a graphic and pasting into Get Info to work fully for me in Leopard. Sure, it works enough to look nice in the stack, but this procedure doesn't seem to apply the 512x512 size graphic to the item. View the item in Cover Flow, and drag Cover Flow to be really large. You'll just see a big black box.

One then asks: after creating a real *.icns file using Icon Composer in the Developer Tools -- clearly with all 5 sizes --, how do you apply *this* to an item without copying/pasting into Get Info?
Let's hope Apple acknowledges this: My MBP is on its fourth hard drive in 8 months.
How many times does the Mac/iPhone/Tech media need to be reminded that these strings are just copied/pasted in large chunks from those belonging to other devices?!

Just like the strings regarding synchronizing games to Apple TVs, these ones about manally managing music and Voice Memos come straight from the iPod blocks.

Just compare these 4320 block strings to the 4300 block strings for iPods. Identical.

Can we stop spreading these rumors? Please?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
