Can I get a little more bezel with my screens?
/sarcasm
Looks like it has the same atrocious keyboard as the 910c/912c. That was a seriously unpleasant keyboard to use. (Looks at last year's damn HP brick still sitting on the desk with iPhone and Bold 9700 nearby)
Wrong Compal there pal.

www.compal.com - the company that just recently out-produced Quanta to be the worlds #1 notebook manufacturer by monthly volume.

So, yes, Compal does make computers. Portable ones. More than anyone else.
Richard - where can I sign up for your next class in "perfection"?

Or do you only offer a class called "stroking one's own ego by insulting people trying to bring relevant news and information to people like me"?

RPA - I have an E61i and I don't have this problem. There's an easy solution to this.Turn off "Auto adjust/set" time -- meaning YOU set the time on the device, not the network/operator.

Menu --> Tools --> Settings --> Date and Time --> Network Operator Time should be set to "off"

Another solution - if you enter calendar events in Outlook 2007 and have it sync to the E61i, you can set the time zone very easily in Outlook - adjust the toolbar settings/display to show the time zone right next to the "recurring" drop-down.

Hope this helps.

TZ CPU speed...that's one reason why. (Though there are a lot of good things about the TZ, that ain't one of them compared to the U110).
I wonder if this is the same 1.6Ghz CPU that Apple claimed Intel made "special" for the Air. If so, maybe a period of exclusivity expired for Apple? Because the X300 would be a lot better with 1.6 GHz (like the U110) than with that 1.2GHz that's in the x300 now.

Hopefully the X200 will have the trackpoint and the 1.6Ghz or better CPU....and/or maybe they'll rev/bump the X300.
Actually, the clear coating on the keys will hold up way better than the texture on your typical uncoated key. I design similar products for a living. When we want better material hardness or scratch/abrasion resistance, we use a clear coating.

That said, I've never been bothered by my T30, T41p, T60p, X61T keys getting glossy and shiny after 3 months use as the texture wears away on the uncoated plastic.

Anyway, if Lenovo used the right kind of clear coating (and I imagine they did, knowing the lifetime testing regiment to which ThinkPad keyboards are subjected during development), then you've got nothing to worry about in terms of the coating wearing off on the keys.

For reference, HP has been clear coating some of their consumer notebook keyboards for over a year now (many of them are silver colored).
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
