I knew there had to be one good reason to stay in the US.
How about something snappy like, CheckSplit? (I haven't verified that that's available.)
While the process is clearly imperfect, it has produced a tremendous opportunity for developers and users alike. They have gotten a massive number of apps visible and deployed in a very short time.

Yes, I know Apple can be annoying to deal with and we should provide constructive criticism, but also consider what they've accomplished and the number of apps and developers they're working with.
I'm right with you. The cleaning thing is annoying, but OK. I use a dampened microfiber cloth with the mouse upside down.

I love that I can use the BT version with just one battery. Making it just the right weight to keep my hand healthy.
If you're on errands, then you won't need a charge. It's pretty simple, not sure why you have such a problem and describe 100 miles as "such a limited range". Perhaps you live in a very remote area? Then you're not the right audience for current technology and you'll have to stick with dinosaur tech.
The problem with that position is that you no longer have the side of your car to provide you with a point of reference, so you don't know how for out (laterally) objects in the mirror are.
My Seattle experience is a bit better than yours, but definitely much worse than my T-Mo service (with other phones). The iPhone's still worth it, but I'd be happier with T-Mo as my carrier.
Actually, I think all the tall buildings make it difficult to blanket the area. I know SF has lots of problems (on all networks) because of the hilly terrain.

This doesn't excuse AT&T since NYC is an important and the densest market in the country.
I agree. Fun and catchy.

Let's see what these other posters can create...
Cut the "gay" crap until you're old enough to know where you like to stick your hard drive.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
