+1.

awesome post for sheer goofiness.
Crap, I was praying this was going to T-Mo. I'm loathe to join that shitty AT&T network, but may have to if SE works out the kinks on this phone by launch.
yes. i have. it's amazing. i'd be getting one if i didn't have to switch to verizon.
Rachael if you want all touchscreen. I'm holding out for the Rachael. Droid if you need a physical keyboard.
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE SH*TTING ME!?

Those prices are a laughable joke, and actually, may finally have me leaving T-Mo for carriers with better phones.
wouldn't it be nice if ipods/iphones CAME WITH a line out and min usb? so sad that we have to buy a gd adapter for these basic necessities.
when will someone make a 64gb or even higher capacity player? i want to transport all of my music.
today i decided the 3GS is not for me. i have been using android for a while on my G1. frequently, I have meebo running and that allows me to IM on 5 different IM networks. it runs in the background, while i use the web or check email or use other apps. when i receive an IM i get a message in the notifications bar which allows me to switch over to the meebo app to IM.

this process is impossible on the 3GS, and it baffles me that apple doesn't get it. for now, i guess i'm sticking with my shitty G1 hardware to wait for a decent hardware android phone on t-mobile at some future point.

the fact that I'd have to page a lot more monthly for the 3GS doesn't help either.

Can someone please confirm: if i were listening to last.fm on the iphone, i wouldn't be able to use the mail app or browser? if so, i'm stunned.

this article has me rethinking leaving my G1 for the 3GS. if i can't listen to last.fm while performing other tasks, then it's probably a dealbreaker.
T-mobile FTL!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
