That's really kinda cool - the IKEA approach to gadgets.
At that price, you could pick up a Mac Mini 1.83Ghz and run anything you want. Doesn't matter if your OS flavor is OS X, Windows or Linux, it's all a go, and you can easily find various remotes for it.
What, no mention of the new Apple Remote?!
Wait, does this mean the Apple iFrame will sport a resolution of 960x540? On a 10.3" display?! Ha-ha!
OMG I may have to get cable again!!! Damn, how many years ahs it taken to get WRC on American TV? I mean, real WRC, not highlight crap, not a few weeks after.....Yay!
Got mine from expansys-usa.com, but I don't really recommend it.
Useless! Just got mine from Expansys and it doesn't even have a hole for the mute switch, and the material covering the volume rocker switch and the power button is too thick to allow either buttons to work! And I've got to say, I thought it would feel softer/squishier in hand. Basically a fail in my book.
This would make a pretty little hackintosh!
That would be why there are voice controls on the new iPhone. Or, at least, one of the reasons why.
My thoughts exactly. I've been sharing both my verizon and at&t interwebs over wifi from my laptop for ages (read 3+ years). Why do I need this?!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
