I think you missed what David was saying... Re-read his comment. He has a valid point.

If Apple weren't so focused on re-locking the phones maybe they wouldn't have bricked some innocent ones.
This product will revolutionize the way that big cellphone manufacturers look at mobile devices. To say that this product is anything other than a quantum leap in mobile phones is ludicrous!
No 3G? It's the 1st version!!
No expandable memory? It's got an 8Gb HD!!
No Office support? That's a software remedy that Apple can fix!
No removeable battery? My first thought is that, that is a little silly, but come to think of it, I have never replaced a battery in the the 20 or so cellphones I have ever had!! I just replaced the phone!!

I am not an Apple fanatic. As a matter of fact, I own ZERO apple products (other than my V3i with iTunes), but I proudly say that I WILL buy this product.

Thank you Apple for moving this market in the right direction.
Good for T-Mobile! But what about Fido here in Canada?? They carry the Sidekick (Hiptop) as well and also do the $20/month internet plan.
Any word on them carrying it soon??
I'm okay with new platforms, but this thing is just poor use of real estate. The layout is horrendous considering the size of it.

If you want to 'cut new edges', then at least put some thought into ergonomics.
Kill their software line?? Like Windows or Office?? What is wrong with your head Arochone??
I hope to God this is not a real review. I am expecting so much from the Sidekick III. And, unfortunately, this is nowhere near what I am hoping for.
Please bring this to North America sometime soon...
nice! ending on a 6515! the only thing to make it better is make it mine!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
