Ive been using expression encoder 3 recently.... keeps you somewhat locked to MS products though. Does do mpeg4 but its not as good as wmvhd.
To be fair its not quite that simple.... you have to actually find & pickup the remote before you can even press the button. And then it assumes the remote isn't out of battery, etc. If natal were to take over (assuming it works) it could actually enhance the way we interact with everything.

There is a reason universal remotes like the harmony do well.... because most remotes are horrible.
I'd buy that for a dollar...
Its very important to me but (and I still dont know why I let this pass) but I watch netflix all the time and its only stereo (I do more netflix hd viewing that dvd/bd). You would think that I would be unable to stand the stereo audio but it doesn't bother me on netflix. I do still want them to do 5.1 asap but I don't avoid netflix streaming because of it.
Flash has something similar to the stuff silverlight can do but it does seem for some reason flash developers are not taking advantage. Ive said it before but the smoothstreaming tech in silverlight is awesome. All video online should use something similar.
I was hoping they would atleast look at silverlight 3 for their new stuff..... hopefully flash gets something similar to what smoothstreaming does (I believe they have something similar in flash but its not out in the wild yet). After playing around some with the smoothstreaming tech on the 360 I want all internet video delivered like that.
Why invest millions if not billions to fix their junk when they can just acquire an OS that is on par with anything else out there. Plus palm has always wanted an avenue into the US market which palm would provide.
seems everybody is thinking pc but Im with you.... I dont see the ps3 having the "install base" (esp in the states) that netflix would be alluding to. Directv seems like a more logical choice to me. But I don't know if it has the right kind of codec support (since netflix runs under silverlight)
That looks awesome.... hopefully we see MS partner with one of the content providers here in the states to bring us that stuff.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
