SBEnableAppReveal was just for Jobs' keynote introducing the iPod touch, right?
a Jim: ahahahahah, d'accordo.

I think that there is no question that this is Apple. I mean, come on, if Apple didn't make it, I wouldn't be licking my screen right now.
Hey Engadget! I told you earlier this week or last that AT&T would be offering a fibre optic internet/TV/phone service in Detroit. Just wanted to let you know that my source for that information also told me that companies like AT&T and Google would be purchasing wireless bands previously occupied by analogue TV in an upcoming auction. This sounds like that, so let me tell you what else I have: there is more like this coming (i.e. there are more bands to be sold) and you can expect to see AT&T offering phone and Internet on them. Not quite as sure about Google, but stay tuned.
Mighty Mouse all the way.

Wired or wireless, it gives me the freedom I need to run my Mac Pros and iMacs. Besides, it's the only elegant two button mouse I've ever used. I get four buttons and 360º scroll, yet it is amazingly comfortable AND absolutely stunning.
On a side note, I also think that the current Apple Keyboard is the best keyboard ever. It's so thin, and I can customise function buttons up to F19.

Now, on my MacBook and MacBook Pro, I just use the built-in peripherals. On their trackpads, I can use left and right click and 360º scroll without touching a button or key.
BTW, guys, this is how my update went.

This was performed in the wee hours of the morning (between 2 and 5) of 16 november (EST).

1. Downloaded update. Why couldn't it be smaller?
2. Update auto-unzipped. I think this may have been a problem.
3. Tried opening update before finding out how. Obviously, doesn't work.
4. Tried opening update with iTunes (opt+clicking Update). Still doesn't work as it is not a .zip
5. Zipped file and tried opening new .zip (opt+click+update, then restore). Both failed, plus my iPhone was now in recovery mode.
6. Decided to give in. Clicked Restore normally. License agreement comes for for 1.1. ...2?! You've been saying that it's not been released, but I not only was able to but had to download from iTunes. Of course, I was happy that it would finally install, but I had to re-download it, which was no fun.
7. After download, install starts, and I get the same error as I got before. NO!!! Tried clicking Restore normally again, and this time it works. Yay!

So, there you have it. If it matters, I've got Leopard and iTunes 7.5. But come on, guys, iTunes must have released this update. If they hadn't, I wouldn't be able to be using on the iPhone I am posting this from.
a Steve Simitzis:

Quest'è che puoi fare:

So, we've got American English for the US, British English for the UK, French for France, German for Germany and Italian for...

Two things:

1. Yay! Finally I can put my iPhone in Italian!

2. I suppose iPhone is coming to Italy next. Let's start placing bets: TIM or Vodafone Italia? Or maybe a 3G version on 3?
i have a phrase that's in italian, german and english, and includes the esszett (ß), u with umlaut (ü) and i with grave (ì). the average computer user wouldn't be able to crack my account if i gave them my password.
uhh…mike?

every section on apple's website where the ipod hifi was, it is now, with the exception of the store page, which is just down right now. in addition, there are plenty at apple store fifth avenue and the staff there says that ipod hifi has not been EOL'ed.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
