What's next? a Jerry Lewis phone?
Hmm.. I'm not saying it's safe, but if you were trimming your eyebrows, seems unlikely you lop off an ear. Unless you were distracted and turned your head suddenly.
Maybe when the iPhone can support real rtsp streaming. It can only support progressive download, so no live events are possible.
Many people have 3G devices on 3G networks but don't buy a data plan.
Silverblade - That's the rub. You can't just use a standard european or US 3G phone and pop in your SIM. That will only get you EDGE as they usually just support 1900 or 2100. So you need to get one of the phones manufactured for T-Mobile US.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
