Seriously, I look at that and think WTF. The made an awesome concept car and turned it into the next Geo Metro.

I got the last generation of the SD1100 for my mom. I think it's the Canon SD1000. My mom can barely use a computer and if any gadget requires any setup, there's absolutely no chance of her being able to make it work. ...anyways, she loves the SD1000 and takes great pics with it.

I think the only reason they're stopping is because it's backfiring. Judges are slowly going by the precedent that "making available" isn't enough evidence to constitute distribution (and that was their big arguement). If enough people challenge them and win (with new strategies), they could paint themselves into a corner and they'd have to stop suing anyway. ...and I think even judges aren't sympathetic towards the RIAA anymore.

Yeah, when DirectX 10 just got released, it seemed that the graphics cards were the high priced component of the day. Now, with the Core i7, it looks like the motherboards are getting that premium.

I guess the best advice that I've heard is: if your system plays what you want it to play, there's no point in upgrading at the moment.

When I redid my PC last year, I went for a full-tower for the first time ever. It's really worth it. Not only can you fit all of the crap that's the size of a small laptop (giant CPU coolers, cards like the GTX series, etc.) but, I saw a huge drop in temps too. Cable management is so much easier in a full-tower and you get a lot more room for air flow. Plus, you buy a nice full-tower, you won't have to upgrade it until you get tired of looking at it.

It seems they've been treading carefully with the Zune platform. So far, (with the Win7 betas) they've been including a new version of Windows Media Player and that doesn't make any sense if they're trying to push a profitable multi-platform store (with the Zune Marketplace).

The way I look at it, they either have no clue what they're doing (with the Zune ecosystem) or have such an awesome plan that they've gotta keep it a secret.

Sure MS is competitive and they make a great product. ...but, as-is, I really don't think that it's a mainstream product. I really don't think that some of my non-tech friendly friends would be able to set it up and use it (let alone flash to a custom ROM). The Sony needs its Panel Interface and the HTC needs TouchFlo 3d to make it a good user experience. ...even those additions are fresh (but, HTC's Diamond sales estimates have been awesome so far). I was using the Sprint Mogul and I can't count how many times I wanted to throw it up against a wall. That was my first smartphone experience and if I would have let that be my only experience, I would have never bought another Windows Mobile phone again.

I think the big 'problem' with WinMo is not that it's bad...far from it. ...MS has just been complacent for a long time. I think Apple's quick adoption created a good message for companies that needed to realize that people want a more streamlined solution. It's arguable that the iPhone converted users from traditional cellphones instead of from other smartphone platforms though...

I think you guys have been really fair to all companies for a while now but, you'll have to admit that a reader (in the past) could have gotten the impression of a pro-Apple site with some articles. Stuff like this:

Add in that every single Apple keynote was live blogged and Microsoft articles had huge anti-Vista Apple advertised on the side of them...a reader kinda got the impression that Microsoft wasn't liked much here.

...of course not. Behind the scene Apple sponsorships prohibit him from enjoying anything Microsoft.
