it's 3G on both Sprint and Verizon
looks like the OQO model 02 back there. is sprint gonna be offering that directly now?
hmmm... well depending on how this sale goes, this could potentially be a good thing for a forthcoming sanyo lineup. a new "parent" company for the handset division could presumably devote more resources to development, build on the strengths of sanyo handsets and give the lineup a good kick in the rear. also with the advent of wimax on the horizon, their ties with sprint could prove to be a positive link. speaking of links... how about some new sanyos without ReadyLink, instead with EVDO Rev. A and the new HPPTT included.
hmmm... rumors rumors rumors... heard this one like 2 weeks ago. apparently sprint is neither confirming nor denying anything about being bought out by this smaller company. but some kind of investment in sprint by sk may turn out good overall... esp. in the development of wimax and more advanced handsets. only time will tell...
well the story WAS inaccurate... before the aforementioned posters pointed out the inaccuracy... looks like all is well now. =)
yeah this post is a bit confusing... it was my understanding that the inter-network ptt call was between an iden handset (nextel walkie-talkie) and presumably some prototype handset featuring Qchat ptt over EV-DO Rev. A and NOT ReadyLink (1xRTT)
what is this Rev. A Sanyo with QWERTY you speak of? got any links?
engadmo comin' back with a bang!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
