Besides the UI & Mobile Safari, what does the iPhone do that a WM phone can't? Nothing. I own both and iPhone and a T-Mobile Dash and my WM device gets most of my time because it's a device I can do everything from.

I work for an ISP (EATEL) in Ascension Parish Louisiana and the issues we had with the Voice portion of the circuit were due to software issues on our Alcatel ONTs as well as some signal tweaking that needed to be done in the phone switch (General Bandwidth G6).

To help ensure that AT&T gets their share of revenue generated by the iPhone. The deal is supposed to work both ways. AT&T gets new customers and thus generates revenue by carrying the iPhone and Apple gets a cut of the revenue generated by the iPhone as well as whatever they make off of the handset. If Apple sold unlocked iPhones in the US that would be taking business away from AT&T in a sense as well as the additional money AT&T gives Apple from the service(s) used by the iPhone users.

No, Anyone that updated their SIM Unlocked iPhones to the 1.1.1 firmware is an idiot. They were clearly warned not to update to the new firmware until the programmers got the program working on 1.1.1. If someone pays $100 to unbrick their iPhone, believe me they won't be updating to the newer firmware until the programmers say it's safe. They've learned their lessons.

This Album is pretty good. Don't assume it sucks because the guy is full of himself. Listen to it before judging his work based upon your perception of him as a person.

"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
