I might be holding on to false hope here (as I just KNOW in the pit of my stomach that my dreams of the REAL Hero in white Teflon on Sprint were too good to be true), but has anyone else noticed that there is not a single shred of an HTC logo on this thing? I can't remember too clearly on what I've seen of pre-production units, but I honestly can't ever remember seeing an HTC phone that didn't have "HTC" emblazoned right across the face somewhere rather prominent...

...Let there still be hope that this cheap, Chinese-knockoff looking monster is EXACTLY that, a cheap, Chinese knockoff!!!
SLAIN!!! The other Hero (especially in that gorgeous white Teflon) was so futuristic, so utterly sexy. This looks like a cheap chinese knockoff phone. That metal click-pad looks like it's not even completely flush with the rest of the device, and that gold trim bs is exactly that NASTY BS! Please, please, please Sprint, give us that beautiful white Hero and not this T-mobile-Dash-circa-2006 device.

:(
NOOOOO!!!

I was looking forward to the white, teflon-coated HTC Hero with Sprint's $99 unlimited everything plan more than words can express.

This looks like one of those cheap, Chinese knock off phones! In each of the photos I was waiting to find "HLC," or something of the sort, instead of "HTC." I will be so sad if this ugly ass creature is what Sprint is prepping to release :(

I mean, the chin looks strange, but it is unique, and the Star Trek aesthetic suits it rather well. This just looks sloppy and very 2002. Curses!!
OMG I love love love love love you guys

those are some balls

and I am so glad I dumped Tmobile now
Siiigh... why are we even discussing her again? "But WHAT will she wear to the Oscars now that she's eating for two?" lol
Has she ever even won an Oscar? I am having a bit of a brain fart at present and can't seem to remember...
Tell me again why we are not talking about relevant people so close to Oscar time like Ellen Page or freakin ANYONE involved with No Country For Old Men, etc?? I mean, has anyone here even seen that movie? It's absolutely astounding...granted, Juno and There Will Be Blood are fantastic flicks as well, but in my humblest of opinions, there is just no comparison. I think it would be safe to say that you will be vastly more entertained and stimulated by it than a video of Angelina eating cafeteria food :P
Guys, I'm sure this was a mere oversight...No need to get the panties in a twitter...
I will blow you all if you give me this phone...

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
