To fix the crappy economy, I would stop spending money we don't have. Thank you. I would like a Moxi please. Thank you.
I'm hoping it's because the shadow has the neo interface running on top of it, and they have to re-tweak it all. Also, they just came out with a firmware update. At least, I'm hoping that's what it is.
I'm in way north Irving (out of fios area, or I'd have it instead of TWC). TiVo says I get the new channels now, after all, but they're apparently switched so I can't see them.
Man, if you live in a fios area, switch, switch now. There are zero reasons to stay with TWC over fios. I live on the AT&T side of town, and even if we had U-Verse up here yet (we don't), it's pretty crappy when it comes to HD.
I'm not too mad about it. I have a TiVo now, so I'm glad I won't be paying for channels I can't record until the tuning resolver comes out. Now, if the tuning resolver comes out and the channels don't come to my side of town for another three months...then we'll have a problem.
From my experience, AT&T U-Verse is the worse offender when it comes to HD picture quality. They're supposed to improve it early this year, but for now, they're compressing all their HD feeds to fit around 7 mbps (I believe), which even for MPEG 4 is low. If you're thinking about switching to U-Verse, I strongly reccomend going to a local AT&T store and checking out the HD quality for yourself before you make the switch.
This looks gorgeous! This looks a lot like Microsoft's Mediaroom, doesn't it? Compare to AT&T U-Verse UI...much closer to that than current I-Guide.
I wonder if this is counting the people who watched the local simulcasts? TWC is the local cable company in the Dallas area, and they don't carry NFL net, so we were forced to watch the game from a local station (in SD no less). I'm sure there are a lot of people who watched it that way in Wisconsin, too...are they sneaking those numbers into this figure?
I need me one of these...my t-mo phone is defective!
Appy-hay Irthday-bay!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
