Please send me one, I need a Black Friday special!!! =)
New, hardly, I saw this at least ten years ago at ces, just in a large form factor with a crt being spun really fast. This is fail and will never make it to the market at it's present state.
Well, I have seen this time and time again at ces. Usually what they do is spin a lcd, crt, etc.... really fast and then you can get this type of image. Only problem is, it is noisy and looks like crap. No HD here ladies, time to re think the design. My lord the scan lines are horrible.

Just my thoughts...
Your avatar looks like you just got raped in the as.....
You will never get Wmo 7 on a touch pro 2.
According to Conflipper a well known wmo haxor

For CDMA Users it is fail time!
"any CDMA device that we have right now WILL NOT support WM7.

Needs to be Snapdragon chipset, or OMAP V3 or V4, no Qualcom chipset that is 7xxx series. they will not work with it at all.

Will they get hacked to work. NO

What will be needed? Bootloader, Kernal, XIP, everythingl. So that TP2 that you just bought last week. It will not run WM7 at all. and 6.5 End of Life is in February. So you have 5 months of upgrades on your new device"

"HTC Leo, HTC Qilin, Asus Galaxy can all run WM7 right now, they have the proper stuff from the manufactures to run and support it."

If that is a true map it is full of fail. Verizon drops all over the Bay Area. Just not as bad as ATT.
Works fine for me on my own cooked Wmo 6.5 rom. I am using base build 5.2.2340.5.4.0
You better not torrent on this other wise you will be A$$ raped by ATT, VZ, and Sprint in the states!
The web os is cool, but man, the pre screen size and resolution is just plain out too small. I have setup a few on exchange and you can only preview about four or five emails. If palm want to win, they need to come out with at web os devices with at least vga resolution or higher. Otherwise, the pre to is like a "My First Smartphone" device.

Just my thoughts.
This has been a registered service on later wmo 6.1 builds and in all wmo 6.5 builds to date. What is ironic, you can simply disable the app kill deal by simply disabling the service on the device. The service on the all late model builds is called SoftwareDisable. You can use Dot Fred's task manager to disable it. http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm It has no I'll affects on the wmo device.

Unless Microsoft implements some option to check to see if the service is enabled for an install from Marketplace, I do not see how they will be able to enforce this.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
