This could be truly useful if Apple allowed Google to port Google Gears to the iPhone, thus providing these apps offline storage and caching.

What happened here? Not much.

Everyone walked to the radio tower, which was clearly what was going to happen. Action at the beach but everyone's ok. Hurley's a hero, the van has closure. Charilie dies like we knew what was going to happen. The iPhone made its debut and didn't drop the call.

The flash-forward is perplexing. Where's the events that will change everything? Is the "insane" that they are basically giving away the ending? Not much to see here, and the episode felt flat.

Unless,

Jack is suicidal because Ben is right; that everyone (save a few key players) died (exterminated b/c of quarantine?) in the rescue.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
