Sony invents a new super short range data transfer scheme that is obsolete compared to already widely adopted technologies like 802.11n; why is this news?

There is no power transfer like implied by mentioning tethered USB or touchstone. Again. Why is this news?
OH GOD I NEED THIS~~~!!
meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Since when would I pay for content on the Wii if I can't even watch a 4 minute youtube video without the browser crashing from running out of memory??
When will you SOBs quit buying phones on contract? Everything wrong with America's cell phone service is because you GIVE the oligopoly the ability to dick you around!
Agreed. I've had the misfortune of having to use a Magellan GPS device in the past, and OH MAN did that experience make me love every single other brand of PAN on the market. Magellan is garbage.
Fuck this plug!!!! SPEAKERS ONLY NEED TWO WIRES.
So what? My iphone has text problems all the freaking time!

Oh, I haven't rebooted my phone in two days... guess I don't have a problem with every call failing immediately, now do I?

Hey, wheres that text I'm expecting? Oh, I had to reboot for my phone to receive it... 4 hours late.

The moral? With ever increasing complexity in what we use, you should get used to unreliable hardware.
Agreed. The cost to develop hardware, especially on the corporate scale that is required by something this technologically advanced (im not talking about the slightly outdated hardware, just in relation to say, a lamp) is astronomical. They would have benefitted DRAMATICALLY more by buddying up with a smartphone manufacturer and creating an alliance of "put our better GPS chip in your phone and we will design the navigation software so that nothing can compete". That = profits.

Nuvifone = MONEYPIT

"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
