I had emailed Nokia USA back in October and asked if it was coming to AT&T and they said no. But who knows it may change.
I am on my fifth Bold that was running AT&T .167, .167 ranks right up there with Microsoft Windows OS. I tired .190, .210 and currently running .217 not the best but it has the least amount of problems. The dropped calls with .167 & .190 were on cell phones and landlines regardless of carrier. While AT&T may have run their battery of test before releasing the Bold there has to be something wrong with it. With all the beta OS that have been released it has to be one of two things a hardware issue or operating system or both problem. It appears that RIM's quality control is suffering. My two cents only.
Rumor on some of the sites is October 4th.
I could love Apple, if I win this iPhone.
TJhood, thanks for the info. Sounds like the inmates are running the "New" Cingular/AT&T Asylum. or is it Jobs and Apple? When you find an unlocked 8820 post it.
I must have missed it, where does it say AT&T is going to put the restriction you claim? If so why would they release another of the same? They already have the 8800. My two cents.
Since the 8820 missed the projected date of 13-14th August, any ideas when it will actually come out?
Maybe I can get a straight answer here, does WiFi help with call reception/transmission?
If I am outside the Cingular/AT&T coverage, will it switch to one of the other carrier (towers)?, like roaming?
Simple answer will do.
I also had the E62, what good would wifi have been? the OS is slow. keyboard is hard to read outdoors and indoor for that matter. The good thing about it was it's solid construction. My two cents. The E90 maybe.
Oh come on now from a country that's main colors are yellow and white.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
