Yes, the Instinct & Palm Pre required the plan. My error.
Did the HTC Touch Pro & Diamond require an 'Everything Plan'? No.
Did the Instinct & Palm Pre require an 'Everything Plan'? No.
Is the Rhodium exactly like the Touch Pro & Diamond? Yes.
Is the Rhodium exactly like the Instinct & Pre where their OS is built around the web & are Sprint's device-of-the-year? NO.

The HTC Touch Pro2 (Rhodium) will not require an 'Everything Plan'. Period. The trend seems to be that Sprint only implements an Everything Plan on devices that are exclusive & Sprint's phone of the year. The Pre already came this year & the Rhodium is nowhere near exclusive. Rhodium isn't going to be a "big" phone, us tech-savvy readers are probably the only ones that know about it. I wonder how many people still don't know about the original Diamond & Pro. Things that make you say "hmmmmm..."

LOGIC.

Come September 6th & I can't activate the Pro2 on my SERO, feel free to bash me. I don't care.
Actually, there's nothing mentioning "Requires Everything Plan" under the device details. Not a word about Everything or special plan. I'm thinking they finally ditched the requirement. I guess we'll wait and see if the phone activates on my SERO plan when it arrives Tuesday. The Palm Pre requiring the Everything plan should be expected, however.
I survived a fall in Best Buy's Black Friday doorbuster this morning! Please, Lord, give this in return!
My HTC Touch Diamond was slow and laggy also. All you need is a new ROM. The current pagepool (how fast the processor gets things done) is at 6mb, while if you change to a new ROM with a 16mb pagepool, you will definitely be much happier. Your finger swipes are done more fluently, and it's just an all around improvement. Doesn't seem to fix the accelerometer much, but I personally don't use it often. Search the net for "HTC Touch Pro ROM" and you will come to some great sites. All "homemade." I would suggest some, but I don't know if I'm allowed too. Sounds hard, but it's actually really easy.
I thought the same thing, "oh that's photoshopped" when I first found the image.
Nope, not a photoshop. It's actually on the LG's Reddot Awards site and it JUST HAPPENS that under description, it states "Steam Dishwasher" haha.

Here's the site::

Hopefully black is more attractive?

Is that the phone's destination's logo that someone striped out?

=O
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
