Crapolin,

It is there in the xda-developer forum thread.
Read it, and you will know.

The fact that the graphics performance is so poor, then it is HTC fault for not bringing the best out of the hardware.

Or probably this is Qualcomm issue?

If yes, HTC should move to TEGRA.
But, this HD2 does not have graphics accelerated driver as discussed in the xda-developer forum:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=568613&page=14

The graphics performance is bad compared to Samsung Omnia Pro or HTC Touch Pro2:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4744947&postcount=77

That means, it sucks for games, etc.

Why HDMI? Why do you want it so much?

Will you just randomly attach your phone in random HDTV of your random friends just to show off?

Come on, be real ...

It would be better to have sliding hardware keyboard, it is more useful !!!
am I the only one who is trying to picture that girl ... naked?
I agree that this market is far from mature. The demand is there, but the available products are not there yet.

I own TViX M-5100SH. It is way much better than PCH, more stable (hardly crash), more features (cover art, ff/rewind, etc.) and good remote.

But still, there are some basic functionality that has bugs:

- Auto brightness / contrast. Why on earth they implemented this feature? It will automatically adjust the brightness and contrast which most of the time ruin your TV setting (luckily you can reset it btw, every time you play a video).

- Does not play ISO (ripped DVD with menu) quite well. 7 out of 10 will play btw.

- Cannot zoom to full screen when playing ISO

- Photo (JPEG) viewer is broken, really. It is slow and unstable.

- Cannot fast forward more than 8x because the audio timing will screw up.

Other than that, TViX is fantastic. All formats are supported. Including the latest beta that support HD audio pass-through (DTS MA, Dolby TrueHD). Yes, thats right, HD audio support.

But as you can see, some of basic functionality are still buggy.

I cannot understand that. Why is it so difficult to fix this?

And one thing that bothers me, why those big names (Sony, Samsung, Philips, Panasonic, Pioneer, etc.) do not have this kind of product??? Well, yeah they have multimedia streamer, but it cannot play most modern video file format (container), like *.MKV, *.TS .. or ISO, subtitle supports (SRT, SUB, etc.).
I dont think this device can play *.MKV ... so NO, it is no use.

Better to buy PopCorn Hour or TViX.
errr ... What is iPhone?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
